Recently, we finished up a project at the Love Church here in Omaha, Neb. These church floors ended up looking spectacular, and we were very happy to help a local church community in polishing their concrete flooring!
Our team at Custom Concrete Creations began this project by prepping the existing concrete floors that were in the church. When prepping existing concrete floors for polish, we focus on repairing damages to the surface. As you can see in the photo below, some of the concrete had begun cracking and chipping. In the prepping process, we repair these cracks and chips by adding sealant or additional concrete to keep the surface as flat as possible. We also vacuum and sweep to ensure there is minimal debris on the surface when we begin polishing.
After the surface was finished being prepped, we then began polishing the floors. We added a polishing seal to help make the floors look new and shiny. As churches see much foot traffic on a weekly basis, it’s important to reseal the concrete flooring to keep it durable and in tip top shape! We ended up polishing much of the flooring surface of the church, including the seating area, stairs and hallways.
In churches and other commercial buildings, polished concrete floors are one of the best materials to choose. Polished concrete has great durability, is easy to clean and maintain and can last for years! We had a wonderful time adding polishing seals to floors at Love Church, and were very happy at the way they turned out!
